The Max Entertainmentpackage appears to be the HDTV/PVR combination package in Saskatchewan. It's unclear whether this is an IPTV offering or not. Currently there is a promotion for 49.95/month for 3 months, and the promotion ends in June 2010.

Max Entertainment appears to be an IPTV service. They are using Ericsson/Tandberg middleware. There are a number of interesting hardware options including a wireless keyboard. Among the equipment offered are the Motorola 1200 and 1216.

They claim to be the first North American IPTV provider having launched their service in 2002. They also boast to have the "Best Geographical Network in the world". I am not sure what that means.

Sasktel has enjoyed steady progress with its IPTV offering. It is also interesting that Sasktel chose ADSL-2+ technology with two lines per subscriber. This provides longer loop lengths they believe this less costly than VDSL because fewer remotes are required.

Hi guys I work for sasktel as a installer everything said about sasktel being the first iptv provider in north America is true and we are also consultants for other providers that also want to set up the service, sasktel has helped companies like MTS , Telus ,bell, Verizon and AT&T but there may be more but i am really not sure and we also use VDSL we do lots of them when customer are upgrading to 2 wires 3800 modems most of time if they are getting PVR which in sask we call them DTVR Digital tv video recorders hd on multiple tvs's. We are aslo deploying a new media room software on are set top boxes it kind of looks like windows 7 it really neat it has apps on there like facebook and twitter and other social networks we are also in the works that customer can use there xbox 360 as set top boxes but right now that up in the air we are also changing over to a home network that allows customer to access there recordings from there PVR for any tv in the house and those TV's can also sent request to have the pvr record shows .
